Chief of Administration
Chief Tharp began his career with the Central Yavapai Fire District in April 1995 as a Reserve Firefighter and promoted through the ranks of Fulltime Firefighter (1997), Engineer (2002), Captain (2007) and EMS Captain/ Temporary Battalion Chief (2011). Chief Tharp has been a Paramedic since March 2000 and gained his Arizona Community College Instructor and AZ Department of Health Services Instructor Certifications in 2001. Additionally, Chief Tharp was the representative for Central Yavapai Fire District for State and Local EMS Committees for Protocol/ Program development – YRMC Pre-Hospital Committee, Northern Arizona EMS (NAEMS), State Trauma Advisory Board (STAB). Chief Tharp has completed course work at Yavapai College in Accounting and Business Management and continues Human Resource Management/ Organizational Development studies through Southern Columbia University. Chief Tharp resides in Williamson Valley with his wife, Jordan, and has 6 children.
